On the 19th and 20th June 2024 EnBW will hold the OffshoreDroneChallenge in cooperation with Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. at the National Test Facility of Unmanned Aircraft in Cochstedt.

Seven Drone Manufacturers will be flying a representative load delivery mission. The companies committing to the challenge are
ADLC (PhoenixWings), Flowcopter LTD, HyFly, Nexaero Vacation Rentals, Solectric GmbH (DJI), Stromkind, Unmanned Helicopters group of companies.

Flights will be evaluated by our esteemed Jury with perspectives from regulators, business case and research.

For the first time, the BMDV established a geographical zone that enables the flights of large scale drones in BVLOS conditions by an extended open category operation. This kind of general authorization has not been used before in Germany and is implemented exclusively for this month to enable the demonstration flights. Information can be found at DiPuL.
